About Harpie
At Harpie, our mission is to be the driving force of crypto mass adoption by protecting crypto traders from theft.
We’re a small and ethically-driven team that takes pride in working on projects that matter. Every day is a new challenge at Harpie, as our work operates on the cutting edge of blockchain technology. By joining the Harpie team, you’ll be joining a mission-focused group that always enjoys a new challenge, appreciates teamwork, and loves learning on the job.
Harpie is currently building the first firewall that stops theft and scams on-chain. We are able to detect and eliminate malicious transactions before they have an opportunity to execute; we do this by taking advantage of Ethereum’s consensus algorithm. We are funded by world-class investors, including Dragonfly, Coinbase Ventures, OpenSea, Orange DAO, and founding team members of Messari and Quantstamp.
We are remote-first!
About the role
We are looking for a frontend engineer with an emphasis on creating performant components. The main focus of this role is to create robust components that minimize the surface area for bugs and minimize render time. Design skills are welcome, but not required—design is not the primary focus of this role.
Our frontend codebase is written in TypeScript Next.js/React, with a TailwindCSS design layer.
Responsibilities
Build easily-editable components that can be used across the codebase.
Write tests that make sure that the codebase is performing and bug-free.
Integrate already-made API endpoints into frontend code.
Create functions that interface between the frontend and the blockchain.
Adapt Figma wireframes and create components in accordance with wireframe design.
Required
Experience in React or Next.js.
Ability to write tests for React
Knowledge of basic time and space complexity (big O, data structures)
Knowledge of how to optimize webpage processing time.
Problem solving skills and ability to learn on the job
Experience working in smaller-sized teams & ability to take ownership of a project
Basic design skills (to the extent that you can create rough versions of components without a preexisting wireframe)
Benefits
Competitive salary and equity
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Monthly self-care stipend for physical and mental health spending
12 weeks paid parental leave
Office furniture of your choice provided by the company (up to $3000)
Flexible hours, liberal work-from-home policy, and a supportive remote team
Next Steps
Please send your resume, examples of previous work, and anything else you’d like us to see at
